This is a story...

(1988- present)- Saving the world, one heartshake and hugjump at a time.

is a speech-language pathologist in Illinois. Prefers the sound words and letters make together over their intrinsic meaning (example: teardrop, puddle, and pickle). Loves e.e. and vonnegut, and a little bit of Robert M. Sapolsky.

I'm just a girl looking for something real. Maybe I'll find it here in my truthful meanderings.

Allie, 24. loving life. Nice to meet you.

About the Girl

Ask me anything

This is a beautiful, mellow cover.

Lacey Guyton - Before it Breaks (Cover)

Guys, she’s amazing. She has an angelic voice, plays guitar, and plays piano.

Just listen for 30 seconds. That’s all. If you like what you hear, then keep listening. If not, then you just wasted 30 seconds…not a big deal.

Sometimes I can’t remember what I’ve already posted vs. what I’ve shared with other people in other mediums vs. what I REALLY WANT TO LISTEN TO RIGHT NOW, FORGET YOU! Just kidding, I love you.

Tell me what you know about dreaming.

Walk off the Earth | Somebody that I used to know (Gotye Cover)

Tagged: musicaudiocover

I need to stop drinking classy beverages of a deliciously intoxicating nature and think it’s ok to sing extra loud and poorly at my poor rooomate. Whatever, her name is Jolene, so it doesn’t even matter. It’s basically her fault.

That’s enough creativity for one night.

All Along The Watchtower - Bear McCreary

What if you woke up one day and realized that your entire life is a farce? That everything you have been doing from the day you have been born was wrong? That you have been on the wrong side of everything you were meant for? That you have been veering away from your destiny and now you are so far from it you can never go back? What if everything you are is a lie? An entire lie you have lived. What if one day the real you finally wakes up?

This song, originally by master lyricist Bob Dylan, blows all other covers away. This is true musical innovation. Bear McCreary took an already perfect song and made it even more mind-blowing.

“There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.”

Holy smokes, I love Dia. SLP friends, I’m wondering, do you think she sings with a lot of tension in her neck? Her musculature does a lot of moving, it’s so interesting to watch. Nerd out much? Big fan of combining my loves of music and SLP.

There is so much music that I’ve discovered recently. These lyrics are so clever. Jackson 5, there’s a reason you’re in my top 5 favorite of all time. Jubunu, you’re keeping it real and fanTAStic. I need to learn this song. I am speaking fragments because I am so. dang. THRILLED!

This shuffled through my speakers this evening…I can’t think of a better way to prepare my back-to-school binder, than listening to this soulful string tribute. In any presentation, this song gives me chills.

Oh lordy I love it when you hear something and your ears perk up, and then your heart does a little shift because it’s like “ah ok, I can trust that I can let my guard down because this will be good. Just breathe it in, delicious”, and then you can’t even stop the smile from creeping onto your lips, and you might have to bite your bottom lip as you start slowly jamming. And then comes the thunder.

Wonderwall remixed by Inspired Flight
originally by Oasis

Revolving around Ryan Adams’ cover of the classic Oasis song, “Wonderwall,” this new remix produced by Inspired Flight incorporates multiple Radiohead songs and music from Bob Marley, Postal Service, Morcheeba, Simian, and Blur. This tribute to some of Inspired Flight’s favorite artists is achingly beautiful, emotionally intense, and manipulates the songs used to create a very original piece of music.

I’ve been debating about posting this for awhile. Finally being brave! Me covering Brandi Carlile’s “Closer to You”, please excuse the poor quality and lack of cool rhythm section, haha.
